Mayoral hopeful Boris Johnson lends his support to Strangers into Citizens.

At their Mayoral Accountability Assembly on Wednesday 9th April, London Citizens will be asking all four main candidates for mayor of London to become a “champion” for the Strangers into Citizens campaign. Ahead of the Assembly, Boris Johnson has already expressed his support for a one-off “earned amnesty” for long-term migrants: “Where people have been here a long time and have no prospect of being able to be sent back then an amnesty could be considered so that they can pay taxes and legally contribute to the British economy."
